Backdoor to Oslo HEP Group

This is a backdoor entry to the Oslo High Energy Physics Group's Web pages, with a brief introduction of this institution and its location.

The High Energy Physics group in Oslo is based on the Blindern campus under the Institute of Physics at the University of Oslo. The easiest way to get to Blindern is by the undergound, you can catch it from Oslo S, Stortinget or Nationaltheateret. The price is 16 Nkr for one hour or 30 Nkr for a day pass. When you take the underground it will quickly get you above ground level, this will happen at Majorstua station. Blindern is the next stop, it should only take 10 minutes from Nationaltheateret. You've got two choices that will bring you to Blindern (both leaves every 15 minutes from Oslo downtown):

When you get to Blindern you just follow the crowd over the narrow bridge across the rails, then follow the sidewalk on the right side of the road (do not turn right at the 7-11 store but follow the road straight ahead for 200 meters).

When you get on top of the short hill you get to a crossroad, just continue right for another 100 meters. Then you'll pass a building with lots of huge glass windows, obviously much newer than the rest of the buildings you see around you. When you've walked the length of this building (along the sidewalk) you can look sharp right: There you'll see a huge concrete/ rock laid square surrounded by 3 buildings (one of which you just passed). If you turn towards this square you'll be facing "Fysikk Bygget" (the physics building). That's your target!

The HEP Group resides most of the 3rd floor in the East wing of the physics building, we're a small but dedicated group.
