ALICE is the only LHC experiment specifically designed for doing Relativistic Heavy Ion (RHI) physics. I will describe some of our physics goals with special emphasis on the physics capabilities associated with some of the most recent changes/additions to the ALICE detector. This will include high pt processes and heavy flavor production.
