Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (Fermilab)
Fermilab, a high-energy physics laboratory, named after Italian particle
physicist pioneer Enrico Fermi, is located 30 miles west of Chicago.
It is the home of the world's most powerful particle accelerator,
the Tevatron which was used to discover the
top quark.
Visit Brookhaven if you want to see where
the charm quark was discovered (simultaneously with SLAC).
